My first official newborn shoot was tonight and I was so excited to meet the latest arrival Libby Reise. She was a perfect muse and her little sister came in post bath to steal the show. As you can see these two beautiful girls were both easy on the eye. I spent my day choosing fabrics and going over poses in my head. I think I did a pretty good job capturing this 2 week old in her element. I loved coming to their home it was so relaxing and peaceful in the nursery surrounded by things to pose her on. The greatest thing about shooting on location with newborns is when they need a little bite to eat from mom, she can comfortably and without stress feed her baby and then get back to snapping pictures. We laughed and shared mom stories and I could not have had a better time. I am looking forward to taking the family photos this summer with all her beautiful kids. I also now have baby fever, so I will try to just take a deep breath and stay focused on becoming a better photographer and hold those thoughts for next year around this time. Oh sweet baby girl what a gift from god she is.
