Jessie Class of 2011

Well I am getting older and now taking my first group of fifth graders' Senior Pictures. The years have passed quickly. It seems like yesterday Jessie was in my classroom at Shadow Forest with her sweet personality asking me to help clean up the library or help in some way. She was the perfect student the one all teachers dream of having and always remember. She has grown into a beautiful young women with amazing opportunities in her future. I was honored to take this first round of pictures, wait till you see our beach shoot in November. I hope to hear from a few other students and continue capturing their Senior Year while I think back to our years in fifth grade together.

The Mendoza Family

This mom and I had a lot to talk about! She just added number three to her household and I had a lot of questions. Her daughters are beautiful and very sweet. Her husband was beaming with pride over his girls, however you could just tell how excited he was to have a son. I spent a few hours taking pictures, talking, talking more pictures, taking breaks for feedings, and sharing lots of mom stories.
I can honestly say that I love what I do. I love capturing moments for families and enjoying the look they get when they see the finished product. I find it effortless until I get home and try to perfect any lighting issues or coloring. I hope to see this family again around the holidays and watch their new little guy grow and change.
My household is about to add number three in a few short days, and I sit here wondering who he will look like and what will the birth be like. I have so many thoughts going through my head. I do know that I already love him more than words and hope his brothers will too.
The Mendoza family is blessed to have such a wonderful new edition and I am honored they chose me to come into their home and photograph their beautiful family.

Introducing Caroline Elizabeth

Well I photographed the family of four weeks before Caroline arrived and when the call came that she was here I started planning my vision for our newborn shoot. I have become friends with this mom and enjoy spending time with her. When I arrived and saw Caroline, I spent the first hour just talking mommy talk, birth story, breastfeeding, and all the stuff that comes with a newborn baby. I got to hold her awhile and I thought it might stir up the emotions I carry deep inside of not getting the girl and this being the last pregnancy as well. It stirred up emotions for me but good ones, ones that made me long to meet this little guy whose has been growing in my body for months now. I enjoyed taking her pictures solo and with her beautiful mom. Sweet Caroline you stole everyone's heart and completed this family of now 5.

Sarah Paige Seven Months

Boy is it hot. I have lived here eight years now and nothing can prepare you for the breath taking heat that sets in this time every year. We forget and somehow hope it just might not be that bad next summer, and it always is. Anyway... not the best weather for family photos 0utdoors unless its at 6:30 0r 7AM however the little ones don't seem to mind. The beautiful flowers and green foilage looks so great this time of year why not? Sarah Paige loved the rocks, trees, flowers, and water. She loved looking and listening to the water as her mom and I sang songs, blew bubbles, and wiped sweat from our foreheads trying to get the biggest smiles. We captured a few and enjoyed our morning together. I am just glad her first birthday shoot will be much cooler!

Lily is Six Months Old

Today on this very hot and humid morning, Lily, Jenny, and myself met to start the shoot. Lily was calm, cool, and happy as can be. Jenny and I had sweat pouring off us as this little angel posed away for her time in front of the camera. It was worth all the sweat and rounds of twinkle twinkle little star don't you think? We even did some shots in her Christening gown for her upcoming induction into the church. I love this little girl, she couldn't be cuter and her mom I have become quite fond of as well. I look forward to taking her pictures for well as long as they keep asking me back. Looking forward to the Christening and capturing her special moments becoming a member of the church.

The Savage Family Gets ready for Baby Caroline

Well I wish I looked this fabulous pregnant! How beautiful is this family and its about to grow by one little girl in a few weeks. I can't wait to see her and take her pictures. This shoot inspired me to capture my third pregnancy, so I already have the outfits picked and the beach day reserved. Now will my kids cooperate like these little angels did? I will set my expectations low and hope for one or two moments like I captured for Julie. I look forward to many more sessions with the Savage family. I have so many to post here and on my site I had to buy extra space!

Landen is 2

I love this kid nothing bothers him at all. He loves to explore, swagger, and laugh. He really enjoyed the playground which we strategically saved till last. This is the second birthday shoot I have done for this family and I will have the pleasure of taking the oldest child's pics in October. Mom and I have become good friends, and I am looking forward to hanging with her and the neighbors over Memorial Day weekend. They have not met my kids yet, so we will see if they keep inviting me to things.
Happy Birthday sweet Landen your big blue eyes melt my heart!
